Under the heel of your soullessness
A fine powder of dust is my humor.
Alone in a sea of stiff and straight:
Broken, ground,
Left, abandoned.
BEGONE, FOUL FRIEND!
Your joyless heart shall cloud my skies no more!
Contented
Finally
And drowning in perfect
Beer

The frozen winter gave way
To the thawing of spring delights.
Like a daisy stretching its face to the sun,
The tiny village sat,
awash in the joy of friendship.
Then Jesters and jokers,
Made the maidens weep
As they mistook fun for cruel intentions
Like wolves in sheep’s clothing,
they were welcomed in
and brought pain where none should have been.
“Don’t cry fair maiden” the townspeople sang
“A gallon of beer, will make things right”
Laughter,
Like the song of angels,
was heard again.
And Black Jesus was had by all.
