Wondering what you’re thinking…
Are we on the same page here?
Is this as much a game to you as it is to me?
Thinking I should just walk away, focus elsewhere:
Invest my time in something worthwhile,
Not sticking around to catch future developments.
Going on my merry way.
Patience is what I fake best, though.
Attentiveness, always ready and willing,
Thankful for whatever crumbs you fling my way.
Intently watching your every “move”,
Engrossed in all the “signs”.
Now I’m sick of it, have half a mint to change things up,
Take my awesomeness and go,
Leaving you stranded with nothing.
Yet I am waiting…patiently.

Sometimes you seem in
Other times you are absent
Makes no sense at all
* * * *
Can’t rely on you
Have to stang out on my own
Better in the end
Starting a brand new routine
Aches and pains set in

Jumping in the deep end,
finally almost up to my eyeballs
and the piles grow bigger.
Soon, soon I’ll finish it all and
be as put together as you…
as the rest of the world.
Yet another trait I didn’t inherit,
happy house, happy heart, happy home?
But what can you do?
Everyone has their compromises
and I…I just haven’t found mine yet.

As a girl I was:
Over-thinking
Over-rating
Over-analyzing
Over-critical
Over-burdened
Over-stressed
Pushed-over
Walked-over
Taken-over
As a woman, I am OVER:
-thinking
-rating
-analyzing
-criticism
-burden
-stress
-pushed
-walked
-taken
Who says I have to BE anything, anyway?
I am who I am, take it or leave it-
Or I’ll be over…
YOU.
